Mullum Mullum Creek


The new Mullum Mullum tunnel built to protect Mullum Mullum Creek with the opening of the Eastlink Tollway in east Melbourne. For more info see Eastlink.

  2. I guess that artistic thing is a ventilation shaft to let the Mullum Mullum air out the Mullum Mullum tunnel.

    BTW, I made some comments about geo-tagging where I mentioned your map.

  4. @Hilda & Julie: I think the idea was that they tunnelled under the creek leaving the eco system intact. Not 100% sure though.
    @AB: Correct, it is the ventilation shaft. Also, I did look at your map and even considered doing mine the same way as yours but the Picasa map was much easier and as I only post pics to this blog with this account, I didn't have a problem with the 'privacy' side of things. Thanks for the link!
