Healesville IV - Royal Spoonbill

For the rest of this month, I am going to post some shots that I took at the Healesville Sanctuary. Healesville Sanctuary is one of Australia’s most recognised attractions, showcasing more than 200 species of Australian wildlife.

The Royal Spoonbill (also known as the Black-billed Spoonbill) occurs in intertidal flats and shallows of fresh and saltwater wetlands in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands.

  1. This sanctuary is a real bonanza for photos — and fascinating for us who live outside of Australia.

  2. @J Bar: Thanks. It's so nice and peaceful at the Sanctuary too.
@AB: I love visiting the Sanctuary. I have an annual pass and can go as often as I like. The trick is to avoid weekends and school holidays!
