Mullum Mullum Tunnel

The entrance to the Mullum Mullum Tunnel from the Eastlink Tollway. This is the other side of a previous photo posted from the pedestrian side of this ventilation shaft.

The old and the new

After a few days of being sick in bed, I'm finally back with another photo! This was taken in Franklin Street in North Melbourne. I always enjoy seeing the contrast between surviving Victorian buildings and the modern skyscrapers side-by-side.

Endeavour Hills Rugby

This is the ground at Endeavour Hills Rugby Club where we played our last game of the season. Well, I didn't play as I've pulled another hamstring!

Luckily it wasn't raining, else it would have been a mud bath!

P!nk

On Friday night I took my wife to see P!nk in concert at the Rod Laver Arena for our wedding anniversary. We had great seats, as you can see from these photos taken on my phone. If you want to see the photos taken on my point-and-shoot, see my Flickr set.

Olinda Creek

Olinda Creek flows from Lilydale Lake and I was a little shocked at the colour. There is some construction work going on downstream and I'm guessing that the digging has affected the water.

Fire!

The University building I work in got evacuated yesterday. Luckily it was nothing serious, so we could all go back to work after the CFA had checked the area.

Waiting for the train

Yesterday I had to catch a train to an afternoon meeting. This is the view from Lilydale Station towards the city. (Lilydale is the end of the line)

Melbourne Graffiti II

Keeping with yesterday's theme, not only is Melbourne's graffiti world famous, but it is actually being considered for heritage protection! Australia's National Trust and Heritage Victoria are both supporting a move to protect the city's graffiti.

I personally love the graffiti. Not the tags, but the art that can be seen on walls around the cities of the world. What do you think of graffiti? Leave a comment below.
